Threadneedle Specialist Investment Funds ICVC (“TSIF”)

Threadneedle Specialist Investment Funds ICVC ("TSIF") is an open-ended investment company structured as an umbrella company; incorporated in England and Wales, authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) and is UCITS III compliant. The "TSIF" are registered for public offer in Austria, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland (5 sub-funds only) and recognised in Singapore as restricted schemes (8 sub-funds only).

The Accelerando Fundshave concentrated portfolios of typically 30 stocks and accordingly may carry a higher degree of risk and Net Asset Value volatility. As the Fund may hold up to 100% in cash or money securities, investors should be aware that the Fund may not participate fully in a market rise. The UK Mid 250 Fund invests in a selection of stocks, primarily from the FTSE 250 (ex IT) Index and the Fund value may fluctuate more than a Fund investing in larger cap companies because of the greater volatility of share prices.

The Absolute Return Bondand Target Return Funds may invest in derivatives and may hold up to 100% in cash or money market securities. Therefore, there are additional risks associated with this Fund.

The China Opportunities Fundmay experience increased levels of volatility compared to funds that invest primarily in the equities of more than one market, or more developed markets. If the Fund invests in A-shares in listed companies of the People's Republic of China it may mean in particular that settlement and repatriation issues may arise. This can have the consequence that instead of a cash redemption the investor may be required to receive securities in specie for the total or partial amount of the redemption request. Investors should also note that the proceeds from the sale of securities or the receipt of any dividends or other income may be or may become subject to tax or other charges imposed by authorities in the market, and this tax may be withheld at source. For these reasons investors should consider the degree of exposure to this type of fund in the context of all their investments.

The Global Equity Income Fundseeks to provide a growing income over the long-term. However, currency fluctuations may adversely affect the value of an investment and the level of income. The annual management charge may be taken out of capital rather than from income, which may erode capital or constrain the potential for capital growth.

In addition to the risks of the traditional investments into equities, the American Extended Alpha Fund contains a number of specific risks. The Fund's exposure involves short sale of securities and leverage, which increases the risk of the Fund. Leverage has the overall effect of increasing positive capital returns, but causes a faster decrease in the value of assets if prices fall. For the avoidance of doubt, the American Extended Alpha Fund does not offer any form of guarantee with respect to investment performance, and no form of capital protection will apply.

The mention of any specific shares or bonds should not be taken as a recommendation to deal and anyone considering dealing in these financial instruments should consult a stockbroker or financial adviser.
