Corporate Social Responsibility
We believe that we have a responsibility to, and will benefit from exercising environmental and social stewardship throughout our corporation, governed by our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. We strive to maintain high standards and we continuously find innovative approaches to improve Threadneedle's environmental and social operations.
Environmental Stewardship
- We work to minimise our environmental impact, with the environmental committee steering our efforts based on principles set out in the environmental policy.
- Our environmental management system extends to our two main sites on St Mary Axe and Swindon and St Mary Axe is ISO 14001 certified.
- Initiatives involve working with the Carbon Trust to minimise our carbon footprint, refilling water bottles and introducing energy efficient lighting.
Health and Safety Stewardship
- Our health and safety policy ensures employee welfare and aims to provide a safe working environment.
- We support equal opportunity principles of employment and employees undertake online training modules for ongoing awareness of initiatives.
Philanthropy and Charitable Giving
- We are committed to good causes and have a dedicated charity committee.
- Employees are encouraged to donate money through a "Give As You Earn" programme.
- In March 2008 we were upgraded to silver status from the Institute of fundraising.
- We sponsor the Mall Galleries, specialists in Contemporary Figurative Art, which has enabled a complete refurbishment of the gallery since 2007.
