UK's most prominent competition for figurative and representational
painting and sculpture, has been increased to £30,000. This makes
The Threadneedle Prize the most valuable competition in the UK for
a single work of art. Experienced and emerging artists are
encouraged to submit fresh and intriguing works that are strong and
topical observations on the world around us, using a variety of
mediums, styles and approaches. The Threadneedle Prize is funded by
Threadneedle Investments.

Threadneedle Investments announces Asian business milestones

Threadneedle Investments announces key milestones as it
continues to grow its Asian business. Ten Threadneedle funds are
now recognised schemes in Singapore and the Singapore prospectus
has been registered by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Singapore Dollar hedged share classes have also been introduced for
this range of Threadneedle (Lux) SICAV funds. And the Securities
and Futures Commission Hong Kong has uplifted the Professional
Investor condition previously imposed on Threadneedle Portfolio
Services Hong Kong Limited's licence. This enables Threadneedle to
expand its marketing activities in Hong Kong to include the retail
market, while continuing to distribute its fund products via third
party financial institutions.
